The DVM-7400 uses the FAT32 file system which is capable of handling the largest Compact Flash cards available on the market today. It has been officially tested with Compact Flash cards up to 32GB. This is approximately 8 hours of video. (About 15 minutes per GB when the video is encoded at a constant bitrate of 8Mbps).
Although the Compact Flash card can be much larger, the maximum supported file size is 2GB. Despite this limitation, it is possible to play video files that are larger than 2GB using the DVM-7400's file-splitting feature. For more information on this topic, please see the DVM-7400 User's Manual.
We highly recommend using Sandisk brand cards.
How Big of a Compact Flash Card can I use in the DVM7400?
