Remove the hard drive cassette from the DVM4 by lifting the handle and pulling straight out (hopefully it isn't locked in). Slide the top lid of the carrier/cassette back and remove. Look for screws on either side that secure the hard drive to the carrier bottom. Remove these and the data and power connectors from the rear of the drive. Connect the drive to your PC with the Vantec or similar IDE to USB adapter. The hard drive will appear as an additional drive volume in Windows Explorer. The video files are located in the Media->Videos directory.
